THE PROPOSAL

Michael took Angela out to the coast for her birthday in July.

They spent a wonderfully romantic weekend in Mendocino staying at the Sea Rock Inn, a beautiful Bed and Breakfast near the ocean.

Michael proposed to Angela that weekend while they were both sitting on a wooden bench that overlooked the ocean. The bench had two hearts carved out of the back.

That same weekend they were walking through a field towards the coast hand-in-hand when they saw a huge cloud in the sky above them. The cloud was in the shape of a heart. It was a sign - they both knew it and felt it.

The following month, Michael and Angela were visiting potential wedding sites when they first walked through Compass Rose Gardens in Bodega Bay. During the visit they were taking a walk through the garden and suddenly stopped in their tracks. Under a tree near the path there was an old, wooden bench. They knew right then that this magical place was to be their wedding spot. The bench had two hearts carved out of the back.

On their wedding day, Michael and Angela exchanged their wedding rings. And on each ring is an unbroken circle of interlaced hearts.
