ABOUT MICHAEL McCOY

Michael was born in San Rafael, California on October 9th, 1955. He is the oldest of six children; he has three brothers and two sisters. Michael's mother, Jerry Heskett, is his only surviving parent (his father, Marshall McCoy, passed away in 2001).

Michael grew up on a farm in Sonoma and was active in 4-H club work for about 8 years. He graduated from Sonoma High in 1972 and entered college at Cal-Poly in San Luis Obispo that same year. Michael served in the US Navy for four years. Following his return to civilian life, he was a rodeo cowboy, did stand-up comedy for a few years in San Francisco, flew hot-air balloons in Sonoma County from '91 until '93, and has been employed at HP/Agilent Technologies for almost 28 years. Michael is a radio disc jockey on KVRV 97.7 FM "The River" and KXFX 101.7 FM "The Fox".

Michael has a 19 year old son named Tom, who is not only his best friend, but he is also...yep, his Best Man, too!
